My girlfriend and I stayed in one of the studio apartments at Kia's across from the beach from the 16th until the 30th of July 2009. Karen (the hostess of the guesthouse) was very friendly and really made an effort to ensure that we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. Some examples of these efforts include: picking us up from the airport upon arrival, letting us do laundry for free, lent us the converter plugs for the electric sockets, and brought us to the airport at the end of our stay.

Our main reasons for picking Kia's were: (1) the ideal location at the centre of Crown Point - the place to be in Tobago, (2) the good value for money this place offers, (3) Karen's quick and informative replies over e-mail conversations to any questions we had.

Overall we were really satisfied with Kia's. The garden is beautiful and is full of various fruits, which attracts a wide variety of birds (including hummingbirds). The location is ideal, as it is a 5 minute walk to storebay beach, a 20 minute walk to Pigeon point, it's across from the bank with an ATM, and there are little restaurants all around. The room was spacious, clean, and offered the necessary comforts including a fridge, a kitchenette with basic utilities, two fans, a TV with DVD player, and an A.C.

Only negative aspect was that one can hear the traffic from the road nearby. Especially the extreme loud music being played by some of the cars was annoying. However we understood from many that this is hard to avoid no matter where you are in Tobago.
