Firefox problem

Post by Peter Stephens »

There seems to be a problem with viewing your site with Firefox. The 'Forum' tab is partly obscured by the search box and cannot be accessed. This doesn't happen with IE. I am using Firefox 3.5.6

I never have any problems using Firefox 3.5.7 on my Mac.

PS. Steph and Brian,

Click Firefox in the top left bar and release on "About Firefox". It should then show the version you are using.

Hi Peter

I have various versions of Firefox on machines in my office, including 3.5.6 and 3.5.7 and am experiencing no problems.

When you say "forum tab", I assume that you are referring to the Forum menu link on the blue menu bar at the top of the page? Are you experiencing this effect on both the forum pages and/or the main site?

The most likely cause of this is that your browser is using a cached version of the CSS file that controls formatting and this file has become corrupt. Try connecting to the page then pressing CTRL+R to reload the page. If that fails, it could be worth trying to clear your cache in Firefox. To do this, go to Tools > Options... > Advanced > Network and then click on the 'Clear Now' button. This will force the browser to reload the pages directly from the server, ensuring that all pages/files are 'clean'.
