I visited Tobago this past weekend with a friend visiting from France and stayed at the Seaside Garden (which I learnt about from this website)! It has a great view of the beach at Buccoo Bay, is definitely lovely (love the plants in the garden), and comfortable (stayed in the double occupancy room and loved the European touches in a tropical setting). Sheldon was so gracious, helpful (gave us very useful advice), and friendly. He picked us up at the Ferry's terminal in Tobago and then took us to the car rental agency to pick up our rented vehicle the next morning. Sheldon is also a certified massage therapist and I had the most PHENOMENAL full body massage ever (didn't want to get off the massage table...still feeling so relaxed back at my work desk)! I would definitely recommend staying at the Seaside Garden (even though it's near to the recently built goat racing track and home to many cultural activities which we experienced while sitting on the veranda of the EXCELLENT Italian restaurant a few buildings away) for that friendly, efficient, helpful, relaxed vacation in a real Tobago village.
