Hi Richard

I assume that was a Tobago Now tour with Fab Ceppi and his crew. Unless you've got a nicely padded backside, I bet you couldn't sit down for a day or two. Only joking! :) Undoubtedly one of the finest ways to see the 'real' Tobago. Not for the armchair tourists who like sitting in air-conditioned splendour though, that's for sure.

Wow, this looks great! Where was that? We would like to do some off-road trips around the island by ourselves but we´ve never tried to do that because we are always affraid to damage cars we rent- Jimny. I don´t think they would survive such an adventure. However it would be really nice to see hidden places. It seems you had a lot of fun!

Hi Nina

Tip: never attempt a cross-country track in a hired car/jeep. Most of these trails will be considered "off-road" and not be covered by insurance, so you will be responsible for any damage. Possibly even riskier is the fact that you will have huge difficulty calling/getting any help - even assuming you can get cellphone/mobile reception and make a call.

The only people I can recommend for off-road trips is Fabrizio Ceppi of Tobago Now. See menu: Out & About > Activities/Things To Do > Off-Road Safaris. :)

Hi Steve,
thank you for your advice and the recommendation. I absolutely agree with everything you said. For us such "DIY" off-road trips are: "kids, don´t try this at home!" Since we are going to be on the island for three weeks again it is a must this time to have a guided off-road trip.We are really excited to see places we haven´t seen so far. That´s the beauty of the island - it doesn´t matter how many times you have visited the island, there are always new places which wait for you to discover them :)

Yes this was the famous Jeep Safari Tour which we hired through Yes Tourism in Tobago. I have a bunch of short clips I put up but perhaps I should blend them into a longer one for those more interested to view. The trip was a fabulous adventure. We did not get the chance to Meet Fab on this tour, we were driven and guided by Collin and Laurie who you can see in several of the accompanying clips if you search rblenian tobago on Youtube. Both guys were terrific, entertaining, knowledgable, experienced, well trained and quite funny too. We will gladly do this tour again!
