What kind of car?

Hello TT-Fans!

I'd like to rent a car for seeing the whole island of Tobago. What car would you recommend? 4x4?
For our european holidays we always booked the cheapest class and drove successfully even in greece... 8)

For comfort and for security I recommend a recent model, comfortable, sedan with strong AC and good tires.

Soft tops cannot be securely locked.

A 4x4 isn't necessary. All the roads you're likely to go on will be paved (sort of!). We always rent from Sheppy's. His cars are is good condition with good tires & he stands behind his cars & will help quickly if you need him. We just get the basic Mazda & have found that to be more than adequate. And the price is very reasonable.
