I stayed at the fantastic Shirma's apartments during my medical elective along with four other students from my university. Shirma and her family were wonderful hosts, picking us up from the airport,taking us to hospital, introducing us to a range of local foods both in Scarborough and cooked up by Shirma herself, taking us to the supermarket and setting us up with a very handy taxi driver Donny! We couldn't have had a better, more relaxing stay - Shirma's apartments were plenty large enough for the 5 of us, and equipped with everything we could possibly need - even the beach no more than 100m away. We would all definitely recommend the lovely Shirma as a host for medical electives, or even for a couple or family on holiday, Bacolet (the apartments location) is a very handy place to stay.
