How kind you all are.Without wishing to sound 'soppy' i really appreciate all the input i've been getting. Steve, Amazon sounds worth a try because i have already looked in some local book shops and had no luck. John, yes, getting in touch with Newton is already on our 'to do' list. Graham and i went to the rain forest when we visited a couple of years ago and loved it. Looking forward to going with a guide who knows his stuff. I remember getting a good soaking at the time and i had to remind myself that getting wet in a RAIN forest was --well--normal. Stella

With ref to Deb & Toms post.
The toothpaste is only used once to remove the treatment on the glass during the manufacturing process. Once you have done that spit, de fog drops, half potato’s all work fine. One thing with washing up liquid is if you use a bit too much it can make your eyes nip (I found out the hard way), if you go that route try baby shampoo it works as well and no tears.
Regards

Thought it might help.

Thanks both to Steve and to Tony. I looked at both websites and went with Stanfords as the delivery time was within the time frame i needed and Amazon quoted a much longer time, but, having now 'discovered' Amazon i think i shall be returning to it. i found the lay out simple to navigate and i NEED simple.
