I stayed at Shirma's in August/September together with my girlfriend for a 4 week elective term at Scarborough General and we had a great time! Shirma and her whole family were absolutely amazing and almost felt like family!

The apartment is located in Bacolet just outside Scarborough (20min walk) and the closest beach is the Bacolet Beach right around the corner, which is small but very nice and most of the time you will have it to yourselves. The hospital is also just a 15min drive away.

We stayed in the apartment with two bedrooms just because the other two apartments were already full. We were very satisfied! The bedrooms are both equipped with ACs, which was badly needed with those outside temperatures. Both have queensize beds and more than enough storage room for your clothes. The kitchen had everything you need: stove, toaster, waterheater and an enormous fridge! There is also a washing room, which goes off of the bedroom in the back with a washing machine and space to hang your clothes to dry (you can also do that in the garden).

The garden is very beautiful with lots of flowers and birds, even colibris and a very nice pavilion where we had our breakfast, some diners and the occasional rum&coke at night;)

As an elective at the hospital you cannot get a better deal than to stay at Shirma's. She takes you to the hospital in the mornings and to do the weekly shopping on mondays. Also Shirma cooked for us a few times, which was always really tasty!! The whole Wilson family is eager to help you in whichever way they can and are happy to give you advise on Tobagos sights, restaurants, beaches, car rentals etc.

We really enjoyed our stay and can definetly recommend it to anyone who plans to come to Tobago. Enjoy!
