Returning Airlines

Post by PaulMakin »

Recently reported that Condor are resuming high season flights FRA/TAB in Nov and Air Canada returning to Piarco from May 2025.

The new terminal on Tobago is going up apace - opening "1st quarter" 2025 they tell us.

Great news. If only Virgin Atlantic was doing the same, we really miss flying with them..

For sure.

We can all recall the spats between the airline and the AATT over the terminal building and facilities.

the new terminal certainly seems to meet the brief but no-one seems to be publishing how the landing licences will be granted and how many - currently everything is handled through the authorities at Piarco.

With a capacity to handle up to 3 million pax per annum one would like to think that some brand new slots will be up for grabs and maybe Virgin can resolve their differences with AATT and will reconsider. The issue of the subsidised seating will probably remain the sticking point though.
