Speyside activities?

Post by Sally »

We're going to be in Speyside from late afternoon until early afternoon the next day. We'd like to snorkel. Any suggestions? We like to see things in nature, but we're not specifically bird watchers. We don't know whether to take a trip out to the little island, or just find someone to take us snorkeling.

Hi Sally,
My tip is to take a trip with a glass bottom boat to little Tobago, you'll be able to watch birds for an hour at little Tobago ( guided tour), see the biggest brain coral in the caribbean, discover the 'japanese garden', a beautiful reef close to goat island and snorkel at the angel reef.
'Top ranking' glass bottom boat leaves from the Blue waters inn around 10:30 every day. Have fun!

Hi Sally,

My wife and I took Patrick's advice while in Speyside on our honeymmon in November 03. It was a very enjoyable trip and a great way to end the morning and begin the afternoon. Good luck and have fun.

Hi Sally,
We stayed at BWI last November and you can book for Little Tobago Island trips in the BWI carpark. If my memory is correct most of the boats do 2 trips a day around 10 in the morning and 2 in the afternoon. It’s a good outing with a glass bottom boat tour, walk on Little Tobago, and a snorkel on Angel reef.

If you’re staying around Speyside you and feeling adventurous you could always try a PADI try dive and see a bit more underwater at Aquamarine the dive centre at BWI

Regards
Kevin
