Does anyone know where I can get cheaper flights than £4000 (2 adults 2 children) from Manchester to Tobago at Christmas realise it will be expensive but that is a bit steep

Hi Katie
Welcome aboard!
Wow, that is a bit steep, isn't it. Mind you, that's largely the problem with getting away for Christmas/New Year - prices always peak for that period.
There are no direct flights from Manchester to Tobago. BWIA theoretically fly "direct" but not non-stop. I believe their flight actually goes via Heathrow, then Barbados, then Trinidad.
None of the airlines will issue me with lists of scheduled prices, primarily becuase the price changes according to demand, so I can't comment on anyone except Excel Airways. As you will know, they fly from Gatwick ( 10:00 hrs flight, so 08:00 hrs check-in), so you would have to travel down from Manchester the day before - and then on your return (although the Excel flight gets in around 9am, so you'll have plenty of time to get home on the day of arrival).
The price of Excel flights vary depending upon the duration of your holiday. The following prices are for 1 week, 2 week and 3 week duration and are based on Standard Economy. I have no idea about availability.
09 December - £310/£310/£375
11 December - £575/£575/£598
13 December - £310/£471/£724
16 December - £345/£494/£724
18 December - £632/£1,011/£1,011
20 December - £529/£724/£724
23 December - £529/£724/£724
25 December - £862/£724/£747
30 December - £632/£448/£471
So, a difference of over 3 times the lowest price depending upon which dates you travel.
