Information on Pigeon Point

Post by Rachel Jones »

Hi,
I'm a newbie here.
We've just booked a cheapish week staying at the Conrado Beach Hotel at Pigeon Point at Christmas! :D

Can anyone answer me a few questions please?

1. Anyone been at Christmas - are bars/restaurants still open. Is the windsurf centre open on Christmas day?
2. What is the flight like for turbulence ? i'm a nervous flyer :x and we're going Gatwick - Granada, Granada - Tobago. How long is the flight from Granada to Tobago? I have flown to the Dominican Republic before and that flight was not too bad for turbulence.
3. Are there any shops at Pigeon point and are there bars closeby?

Any info would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

Rachel

Hi Rachel

Welcome aboard!

1) I've never been to Tobago over Christmas, so can't answer your question with any certainty, although hopefully somebody else can. When you say the windsurf centre, are you referring to the World of Watersports shop? If so, I would email them at [email protected] and ask - that way the answer is guaranteed.

2) Like all weather, one can never guarantee flight conditions. I've made the flight often enough and have never experienced a bad flight. The flight from Grenada to Tobago is no more than 40 minutes and most of that is taking off and landing.

3) I believe that there is a souvenier shop at Pigeon Point and some fast-food type kiosks, but little else. There are lots of bars and restaurants in the area at the bottom of Pigeon Point Road, so within walking distance of the Conrado.
