Can anyone tell me whether we can expect very much aircraft noise whilst at coco Reef. I have just watched a programme on uK telivision about plane noise in st Maarten & thought that I should check , as Coco reef is close to the airport.
NO! Absolutley none. You can see the odd flight coming in across the sea to land - which I think is a lovely sight - and now and again you can just about hear the blast of reverse thrust for around 5 seconds, but believe you me, it is NOT a problem anywhere in the area. Apart from anything else, there are just so few flights.

Thank you Steve for putting my mind at rest! Did you see the programme Holidays Uncovered with the Mendletons at the Maho Beach Resort. They are acquaintances of ours that we have known since round table days !
Sorry Diane, I've been too busy working on the new site to watch any TV. Mind you, I'm closing down now to go and join Jill, Topaz and Daisy (cat and dog) and chill out for a couple of hours with 'Trial and Tribulation'. Over and OUT!!!!

The hotel is very close to the runway , the noise from the jets when they 'reverse thrust ' from the front of the hotel is earsplitting , fortunatly the beach is the other side but there is stillsignificant noise , flights of course are not that frequent but this could be a major problem if activity increases
Thank you for your reply, but I don't think that it will increase before next May. We were in the same position in Grenada & staying at La Source & we barely noticed them. Thank you for the info.
