Hello, Tobago lovers, my sister and I are hoping to spend an afternoon in Tobago, flying over from a holiday in Barbados, having lunch hopefully at the Seahorse Inn, then around 2pm we'll be free till we have to return to the airport at around 6pm. Is there a tour we could do in that time?
I did a wonderful rainforest trip and also so enjoyed the Nylon Pool trip with Captain Powers ??(not sure of the name now!) three years ago during a week on the island which was taken up with being way too busy with my daughter's wedding! This is a sentimental trip back and for my sister a first glimpse of the beautiful island of Tobago.
any suggestions are very welcome, thank you.. we are coming in the third week of February.

Hi Lynne,
just haveing an afternoon on Tobago is very sad. A few years ago we were stuck with only having a half a day with a stop over on the way back from Trini and we had a great drive round with Hinsdale McEwan from Airport Taxis. He has an old 60s Holden and knew all the back roads and lots of history. The trip took us up from Crown Point across the bottom of the rain forest and back down trough Scarbrough, stoping at a few places along the way to take photos.
Really nice and gave a good flavour of the island.
Hope this helps

Hi Lynne,
from what I remember it was about 3 1/2 to 4 hours, you could cut that a bit if you missed Scarbrough we stopped there for a bit and walked round the market. We only just touched the bottom edge of the rain forest but if you let Hinsdale know how long you have got I'm sure he could sort something.
Enjoy your trip

Hi Lynne,
Don't thank me thank Yve, my other half, she kept his card in our holiday file.
Serendipity, we just got lucky. I'm a sucker for old cars and went for the Holden, On the way round to the hotel we mentioned we wanted an Island tour but only really had half a day so he said he would put one togther for us.
I'm sure you will love the tour
Regards
