Help in resolving flight Dilema

Post by J. Tomasulo »

Hello all again,

I don’t know why I feel the need to post my information, but I'd love to hear any comments anyone has to say about my flight dilemma.

I am coming to Tobago for a month, departing from Toronto in early to mid March for a month. I contacted a travel agent in Toronto that has been nothing but helpful. My situation is that I am a Professional Golfer that right now has a limited budget, so every penny that is saved it beneficial.

Anyway, my dilemma is this;

I can fly direct to Tobago with BIWI departing Mar 15th to April 11th for $830'ish CDN dollar.

The other flight with Skyservice is significantly less. It is 459+65 in taxes=$624CDN. Now this flight is only a direct flight to Trinidad, so I have to find my way to Tobago and I will be able to stay another week with this flight.

I understand there is a ferry that travels from Trinidad to Tobago daily as well as many flights per day between the islands.

I do not know the exact price of the flight or ferry ride and I have to choose my flight by Mon. The problem is, is that I have my golf clubs and luggage that might exceed the 70lb rule restriction with Skyservice. I was told that BIWI's lb restriction is double that.

So, in a nutshell. Spend more for the direct flight or pay less and find my way to Tobago?

Will that be to much of a pain in the arse? I love adventure, so the ferry ride would be awesome. How far is the ferry from the Trinidad airport?

Any suggestions/comments would be great and thank you in advance.

Hi Justin

If you check the "Information" section of our main myTobago site you will find all the info on the airbridge flights and the ferry. I don't know how much the ferry costs, but it's dirt cheap and there will be no weight restriction.

Happy journeys.
