I first found this website about 6 or so months ago and I have found it to highly addicitve!!

Everyday when I switch on my PC I think I'll just have a quick look to see if there is any new posts and sure enough everyday there is and then I have to read them. I then sit back in my chair and remember my wonderful holiday in Tobago and spent the rest of the day feeling pig sick that so many other people are going there soon!!

I love this site but it is such a time waster! (In the best possible sense Steve!! - like your new piccy

Kirsten – I maybe sad, but I’m not THAT sad. Six weeks in Tobago really helps you break away from TV. I must confess that I like to put my feet up for an hour at 9pm if there’s anything decent on. Sadly I seldom see the end. Then I wake up, annoyed at missing everything. By the time I’ve put the dog out, set the dishwasher and shoved my hairpiece and dentures in soak, I’ve woken up again and can’t get to sleep. Oh to be 30 again!

Stella – I could tell you what the ranks are, but then I would have to despatch a virtual assassin to deal with you. All I can say is that there are currently eight ranks and Kirten is at rank six with “Tobago Guru”. Only three users are currently ranked at seven (“myTobago Nut”) - and this doesn’t include our most prolific posters, as they are ranked as “Tobago Business” users. Rank eight is a total secret and all I can say is that if John Hill wasn’t being a traitor and going to Grenada instead of Tobago this year, he might just have made the grade within a few months.

Seriously though, the ranks are just a bit of fun and I think the ranks could be improved, so why not let us open this thread up to suggestions for the 10 best rank titles for myTobago.info users? Come on John

As an Irishman, and I think you should have a special rank for Irish people... World Beaters !!! Sorry couldn't resist it only happens that we can go to twickenham and win once every 10 years so give me a little lee-way to gloat !!

But what about a rank like 'Tobago Irishman' seen as I am nearly the only Irish person who is registered on the forum!! And surely Fiachra in the Indigo would also qualify if he ever posted on the forum!!

Please lets get the facts right I AM GOING TO TOBAGO twice in two weeks if only for 40 minutes at a time will still enjoy the feeling of Tobago when the plane doors open, may even wish we were getting off.
Did I tell you that when in Tobago last year we meet up with three other couples well we are all booked same time same hotel this year shame its in Grenada. I will however give you a fair report on both Islands I am sure they are very much alike.
Will have to give me a little time to work on the names but will come up with something.
My first visit when switching on my computer is to the web site read every posting. Do not reply to many as I have only visited Tobago once I do not feel qualified to comment, leave that to the experts. By the way do you like my new photo ??.
Was going to make a comment about the bike but must say you looked so at home it would be very crual to comment, Love the saddles. BFN

Sadly, you are not as unique as you might have hoped. We had eight registered users from Ireland (north and south) as at 31st December last. Think of the fantastic shindig you could have at Indigo if you all went to Tobago at the same time. The Tobagonians would wonder what had hit them. Would I qualify to join - I'm quarter Irish.

Wow! i am getting somewhat jealous as i am only a 'tobago enthusiast' and haven't been on tobago YET...will be though in oktober this year.

Sorry to dissapoint you, Arianne, but we actually had 9 registered users from the Netherlands as at 31st December last. Haven't checked the new users since then, but that's at least 10 with you.

Maybe the next person I award a special rank to will have to be the "furthest" from Tobago (and they'll have to beat the registered user in China).

And Glyn don't feel second rate, as far as I can remember you mentioned that you have some Irish blood in your family, and as Steve has admitted the Irish are 'World Beaters' Plus it would be a great loss if you spent more time on the beach, you have given so many people so much brilliant advice. Hallo to all who have replied to Steve's 'ranking suggestion'.
When i innocently!! asked what one becomes after 'guru' Steve replied with an offer of possible assassination and then said --let's open up the rank titles for fun ideas-- well, as he's just said, he didn't realise what he'd let himself in for. There's me, an unassuming little old lady, carefully thinking up a possible list of fun titles and there's you lot ,all wanting a personal title of your own.Shame on you!! Well,I WANT ONE TOO STEVE.How about 'Tobagan Dowager[posh,eh] or more likely'Tobagan'Old Trout' [my husband is a fisherman]. One last question, when i go off to Tobago next month, do Virgin prefer to have all the zimmer frames in the 'hold' or can my little group put our 4 frames in with the hand luggage? Cheers, Stella.

Don’t worry, I never told you the highly secret top rank, so I don’t need to send out the virtual assassins.

We found good use for our zimmer frames. We took them on board as hand luggage, then used them to block our section of aisle to prevent kids running up and down.

At least dreaming up a fun list of ranks will be a good way of passing the time during your trip out to Tobago.

I don't have any ideas to offer on the ranks, but I do admit to being a mytobagoholic!
Now we've booked accommodation, flights and insurance for our Aug/Sept 2004 holiday all with help and advice from this site I am now compiling a word doc of useful information to take with us when we go. You know - things to see, things to do, places to eat and things not to do. All very useful stuff so thanks to Steve and all who contribute.
