Just want everyone to know how amazing both of Shirma's Apartments are. My son and a number of fellow medical elective students from various parts of the world stayed for periods of between 2 - 6 weeks in August/September/October this year and every single individual we met whilst on Tobago in October had nothing but good words to say. The apartments are private, well maintained, extremely clean and have all the comforts of home and then some. The entire property is safe and secure, nestled in beautiful gardens. The Gazebo, particularly, is a lovely, calm, relaxing space in which to enjoy a beer and barbeque in the evening or leisurely breakfast at the start of your day.

Aside from the great location and ambiance, the REAL gem of this accommodation is Shirma herself. She (and her family) offer the warmest of hospitality in true Tobagonian style. As well as collecting guests from the airport, Shirma made sure there was transport available to take the young doctors to and from Scarborough General Hospital each day; drove them to and from the supermarket as required and provided invaluable information regarding tours of the islands, safest beaches to swim/surf, most fun night life and general insight into local customs and getting the best out of their time on Tobago.

Shirma's husband, Clifford, offers a first rate, reliable, 24 hour taxi service (1-868-683-7900) including an extremely comfortable, air-conditioned 7 seater vehicle and his knowledge of the roads/areas of Tobago are second to none.

All in all, whether it's for a short break of one or two days or a longer stay of many weeks, we cannot recommend Shirma's Apartments highly enough and feel it should be top of the list for any new or returning visitor to wonderful Tobago and certainly should be the first choice for anyone considering a medical elective. Our son is already planning his next trip and we look forward to joining him and meeting Shirma and her family again. Congratulations Shirma and many thanks.
