Coco Reef stay April 2004

Post by Alan Wick »

My wife, 12 year old son and I stayed for two weeks beginning of April. We loved it. It is a great family hotel, my son made friends with other children and we met some lovely people. The service was generally excellent, with only one or two lapses into huffiness at the front desk. Kevah, the Social Director, was a star.

We had a reasonably-sized garden room which accomodated the three of us. If - actually when - we go back there we would ask for the same room again and not waste money on a sea view, as we were out of the room most of the time. Breakfast was excellent, lunch and dinner were OK, nothing special. We stayed B&B, we ate out every night at local places within walking distance such as Panach, Kariwak etc - much better value.

The beach - who cares where it came from - was superb and completely safe for kids. We did scuba diving, snorkelling, jet-skiing, and kayaking from the hotel as well as other activities out of the hotel such as deep sea fishing, a tour of the island, and even saw goat and crab racing! Derek and Evelyn at the dive centre were professional and helpful.

We all said it was the best holiday we have ever had, and are already planning our next visit to exactly the same place - and this is from a family that usually does something different each holiday!
