September 2003 wedding reception - Seahorse Inn

Post by Christi McIntosh »

I wanted to have our Wedding reception in a beautiful venue, and I spent several months on the internet researching different restaurants in Tobago. I found the Sea Horse Inn and after my initial email with Nick, I knew immediately that it was the venue for us.

From the start Nick spent a lot of time corresponding with me via the internet discussing everything from menu suggestions to table decorations and evening entertainment. One thing that really impressed Brian and myself about Nick and his team at the Sea Horse Inn was the attention to detail and the value they offered us. Nick would often tell me that I didn’t need to order so much and would always give us a fair quote on everything we asked for. In fact, with the entertainment he proactively shopped around to secure the most cost effective DJ and steelband player for us.

Planning a wedding over the internet from the U.K was stressful enough and honesty impressed me, as other venues were adding extra costs onto quotes and suggesting expensive alternatives that we did not need. Prior to the day Nick spent time with both mothers and aunts going through the all the details, and on the day itself Nick’s team created a magical environment for Brian and myself all by themselves. We did not need to do anything, they offered a complete package from start to finish. Brian and myself were absolutely delighted with the amount of work that the team had done, and the end product was more than I could ever have imagined. The tables were beautifully decorated with the ornaments that we supplied them with. In addition Nick’s team had fresh flowers and candles lit amongst the tables, which created a romantic location for our Wedding Reception.

Staff greeted the guests friendly and attentive and we were treated very special, nothing was too much for the guests and myself. Special attention to Brian and myself were paid, ensuring that we didn’t need to ask for anything, it would automatically appear.

Finally, the piece de resistance – the food. It looked and tasted fantastic! Brian thoroughly recommends the steak, which he found most delicious. I can honestly say that Nick, Jason and their team made our day special by all the hard work they put into making sure we had everything we wanted. Your wedding will be in safe hands with them.

If you would like to get any further information from me, write into Nick and he can supply you with my email address. Brian and myself wish you luck with your wedding.

Wedding Reception at the Seahorse Inn

Post by Tracy »

Hi Christi

We are getting married at the Hilton Hotel in Tobago in December and we are currently looking for a venue to have an evening reception rather than stay at the Hilton for dinner. We are seriously considering the Seahorse Inn and after reading your post on the forum it has pretty much made our minds up. Does Nick organise evening receptions as I like the sound of having candles, steel band etc. We have already been sent a copy of their menu - do you recommend a set menu or let everyone order what they want. Does the restaurant have evening entertainment or do you think we should organise a steel band to play all evening and does it work out expensive?

Many thanks in advance for your help and look forward to hearing from you soon.
