We were 3 medical students doing our elective in Scarborough general hospital. We stayed in Shirma’s apartments for 1 month and I wish it was 2 months. Hands down the best decision was to stay with her. We considered airbnb but I am SO glad we picked Shirma.

The apartments are super well equipped, super clean, homey and all rooms have A&C. Located in a really nice part of Tobago, we felt very safe here the entire time. We were a walk away from the Baccolet beach and also very close to Scarborough.

Drop off to airport/port
Every morning you get driven to the hospital.
Sunday lunches which were without a doubt some of the best things we ate on the island
Housekeeping every week
Shirma helps you organise a lot of tours and knows very good tour guides and has good prices- insider knowledge to the max.


Overall Shirma is a pro a looking after medical students and knows how to help us have the best elective so really, and especially if you don’t have a car, I couldn’t recommend her enough. And most importantly, she is so caring, loving, felt like my surrogate tobagan mum which is always nice to have when you are new somewhere.
