Hello
I am keen to visit Culloden Beach - do you have any up to date information about the beach and if it is safe to visit as a couple given it’s likely to be deserted. It looks beautiful in your guide and I am a keen snooker so would love to go.

Hi Sue,
I think you'd better go with a tour operator as there have been two incidents, robberies involving tourists already this year. (not to mention the American guy murdered in Castara a couple of months back) So there's a bit of a safety concern going around at the moment. One of them happened while a couple was visiting Back Bay in Plymouth.........

Why Colluden? Come up to Castara, great beach and people, good sensibly priced choice of local food. I am a bit biased as we built our place there , Carpe Diem Villa! ( check up out!) Last night was bonfires , 4!, on the beach at sunset. Music was ‘old school’ Arrow, Kitchener etc.

The American chap was murdered in a case of mistaken identity, he had gone out to buy a last ‘smoke’ after dinner at Marguarites.

A person was arrested at the time and remains in custody and so the matter is ‘sub judice’.
We were at our place at the time and use the same right of way almost daily as do our guests so it came as a shock to everyone.
