Diving

Post by Ralf Clifton »

OK all you divers out there, that have been to Tobago , and to Rex Turtle Beach, I need to know what the crack is.

I understand that a dive centre is based on Turtle Beach, is it OK? what are the prices like ?

What should I look to avoid?

In fact , cut to the truth , I want all the info there is on the Dive Scene :?:

No "dive centre" on TB I am afraid, but there was people trying it in the pool.

Nearest I saw was Crown Point.

there is a dive center (Adventure Eco Divers) on stone haven bay right next door, and I think that they will pick you up from your beach to go diving. They certainly picked others up from nearby beaches when we went with them. There dives were very good, and we had a great time.

I will post some more info in a minute, which was answers questions about diving with them.

[Update]

I have posted the extra info on the Activities forum, as that is where the rest of the Diving info tends to be.

Hi Ralf,
Try a post on http://www.divernet.com as well you may come up with a bit more.

Eco divers sounds OK though.

Are you new to diving or an old hand?

Kevin

Hi Kevin

I have just emailed Eco Divers, got the address off an old posting on the site.

I have been diving for the last 7 years, but only on my holidays. But I expect to reach my 100th dive this year.

Have you done much?

Hi Ralf,
I'm a born again diver. I dived at college when I was a lot younger but only started again a couple of years ago. Most of my diving is in the UK and so far I've got about 70 in.

If you have not been to Tobago before you shoud enjoy the diving the drifts are fast and great fun.

Regards
Kevin

Kevin

Thanks for the tip, I can't wait to get there now.

We went to Jamaica a couple of years ago and the diving was great there, on one of the dives we surfaced and found we were surrounded by Dolphins, I counted 24, what an experience that was :D
