Le Grand Courlan Review?

Post by Graham Jones »

I am thinking of a visit to LGC in September 2004, but have been waiting for your review Steve. Am I right in thinking you were doing a full review?
In particular I am trying to find out about the beach access from the hotel. I understand it is on a hillside and access is via steps (and then across a road?). My health precludes too many steps, so I am trying to get as much info on this as possible. Thanks.

Hello Graham

Guess what I've spent most of today working on. I've taken a couple of weeks off normal work to finish the 2004 reviews. Can't say quite when they'll be on the web, but sometime this month.

Forget about the "road" - it's only a service road and sees less traffic than the front forecourt of the hotel. However, the hotel is built on a hillside and this inevitably means stairs. They're all in very short flights, so unless you were fully disabled, I don't think it would be a major problem. Within the hotel itself, there is a sloping ramp that runs from the top (Reception) level to the lower (pool) level, so you can use this route and miss steps all together.

Go for it! Le Grand was the bit surprise of our 2004 visit and we loved it.
