Le Grand Courlan - Website

Post by Graham Jones »

Off to Le Grand Courlan in just over 4 weeks :D , but have been trying to access their website at http://www.legrandcourlan-resort.com for some time. After the initial page, very little seems to work correctly. I am using an Apple Mac running both Safari & Internet Explorer browsers without success. I just wondered whether anyone else had successfully been on the site and what browser they used?

Hi Graham

Just tried it, without problem. Their site is hosted on a low-grade Microsoft IIS server in Atlanta, Georgia, so it's rather slow, but I've tried about eight pages without problem. I'm using MS Internet Explorer v6 on a PC.

Graham, I think it just struggles with Safari.

As for ie on mac, everything struggles on that unsupported crock!

Have a look at Firefox and/or Camino.

It's fastest on Firefox (most things are, I recommend you have a peep!) but looks a good example of form over function. Slow enough and flaky enough here on a 1mb connection to drive me nuts.

Both available via here:

Thanks gents for the advice. I am trying Firefox now and hope that will be ok on 700K broadband. If not, I shall just have to wait for November to see it for real! :D
