Excel Monday flights

Post by Emma Hetherington »

Having booked our flights with Golden Caribbean for end of February, we've just been told that the Monday Excel flights to Tobago (via Granada) have been changed to Sundays during January - 14 March due to after effects of Hurrican Ivan.

Whilst we're hoping this will be OK for us re: accommodation already booked - how can the after effects of hurrican mean that flights have to move??? or maybe I'm just being thick here!

Hi Emma

This is unconfirmed - but I think I'm right.

Golden Caribbean were planning to run two additional flights through this coming winter - one on Sunday and one on Monday. Both flights were shared Tobago/Grenada. However, virtually all the hotels on Grenada are closed, so nobody's going there. My guess is that it's not that the flight has been "moved", just that they've dropped the Monday flight and have transferred you to the Sunday flight.

Wonder why it's from January? We are going on 20th December - meant to be on Monday flight. Surely if they are merging flights they will start in December or is the Christmas season busier?

Very much so. Some place charge nearly double for Christmas/New Year.

Hi Emma!
So you've booked to return already. :D Therefore you must have had a good time. You were staying at Cliff Hanger? if I remember rightly.
Are you going back to Castara? The Blue Mango?

  I feel such a fool! :D

Anyway, now I'm here I'd better try to get back on topic.

We booked to go back within a month of our return - Excel Premium, again, but the Thursday rather than the Saturday flight as it's a bit cheeper and non-stop both ways.
