those of you who have been to coco reef resort: is there anything (decent) for vegetarians (no meat/fish) to eat? i can't believe that i'll be the first veggie to visit. i'd just like to know whether i've got a week of eating fruit/salad to look forward to! any comments/suggestions gratefully received. paul.

Paul,
we stayed at Coco Reef last May for two weeks. My wife who is a vegetatarian & also has to have a gluten free diet was ably catered for. All we had to do was to study the menu for dinner each day, talk to the catering staff and "no problem". Lunch time "casual" meals were a little more problematical and one had to be more selective of the offerings, but overall the staff will look after you as long as you make your requirements known early enough. Do not be afraid to ask. Enjoy!

All the evening menus at Tamara's have at least one vegetarian option. I had some of them and they were very good, although I am a meat and fish eater as well. Equally, the lunchtime menu will have lots of things that vegetarians like, and as the other reviewers say, if you ask politely, nothing will be too much for the staff to arrange for you. We specially requested flying fish for lunch on our last day (for four of us), which wasn't on the menu, and they produced it with a flourish! Rest assured ...!

just a quick note to say thanks to everyone for the comments - very helpful and really appreciated! there's nothing worse than going on holiday and only having the same option everyday. my partner and i (both veggies) are really looking forward to staying at coco reef now. thanks again! paul. ps - seeing as you're all so helpful i've posted another question about all inclusive vs. b&b. let me know what you think.
