Another Year

Post by Steve Wooler »

So, another year ends and yet another starts. Where did 2004 go?

May I wish all our readers a healthy 2005. Maybe we should all learn a little from island life on Tobago. SLOW DOWN! Take life easier. Relax and enjoy what we have, and those we know.

May I start the year by thanking all our readers and, in particular, those who have posted question or answers in the forum. These pages are undoubtedly the most useful and interesting part of myTobago.

I'm delighted to tell you that myTobago handled half a million visitor sessions last year. That's an average of 1300 visitors per day. Those readers requested 2 million pages of the site.

Thank you!

And, what were you all doing over Christmas? Well, myTobago received 10,000 human visits over the four days of Christmas and read over 30,000 pages. What's up - wasn't the "Italian Job", or the other old films they wheeled out on TV, good enough for you? 2500 of you visited on Christmas Day and 3000 on on Boxing Day. And I wasn't allowed anywhere near my office and computers. It's not fair!

Anyway - once again, my very best wishes to everyone for 2005 and my thanks for your support.

And HNY to you 2 Steve.

Seen the Italian Job before ... I was upgrading my PC on Christmas Day and planning to go Broadband so that I could do my weather forecasts more efficiently (oh and gaming!!) ... but alas, it all went wrong with a faulty motherboard ... so back to where I started for now ... I will have to wait a couple more weeks for the improvements.

On New Year's Eve I came across an absolutely hilarious string on this site from a chap called Franco regarding Rex Turtle ... in the Accommodation Section ... a 'must read' and many thanks to Franco for his interesting perspectives (even though he may have offended the odd 1 or 2 !!!).

This site is not just informative ... the forum is compulsive reading even if you do not know Tobago ... almost infinite (always something new in the archives!) ... sheer dynamite.

You must be proud of your creation Steve.

HNY to you David ... where are you getting your Internet access in Castara?

Cheers everyone

Happy New Year to you too Steve and everyone else.
I was one of those to visit myTobago over Christmas - totally addicted to this site and drop in far too often!

Lucky you David being in Castara. I know you're having a great start to 2005. 8)
