Buying a car

I am marrying and moving to live in Tobago. I want to buy a car, can anyone give me any info about buying a Roll-on/Roll-off (?) car. What are they and is it a good idea?

they are new foreign cars, good idea to buy, because the used ones on the island are most of the time not too good anymore, cars don't last too long on these roads... are you going to marry a tobagonian? he should know where to get them....
