Some Tobago pictures

Post by Roland Siebenhorn »

Hi!

Would like to invite all interested readers to follow this link for a small photo journey to Tobago:

http://www.locki.net/tobago/bilder.php

All pics have been taken during our trip in December 2005 to Castara and the Crown Point
area. I’m not a professional photographer, so don’t expect the same quality as the
pics on the myTobago website. Hope you nevertheless like them.

At the moment I’m working on a review of our visited restaurants and accomodations.
Will be published soon.

By the way Steve, is it possible to include pictures directly in a post if they are hosted on my own webspace?

Greetings,

Roland

Hi Roland

Well done - you have some lovely shots there.

Yes, you can post images direct. Simply use the following tag line:

Image

The only thing is - please ensure that pictures are no wider than 500pixels or you could 'break' the structure of the page forcing viewing problems for readers.

Hi Roland,

really wonderful photos! Makes me feel to jump into the next plane and go there. I saw you did not have a lack of Carib, when you were there

Cheers

Hi Shorty,

indeed, no lack of Carib in December, despite we tried hard to cause one....
I tell you, it was hard work to bring the crates downhill to Castara's
little beach!

Thanks for your nice words about the pics. We could immediately
go back as well!

Hi Roland,

Great photos! Thanks for posting them. We are planning to visit Castara in 2007 and your recent shots are very interesting. In one of your photos of Little Bay there is a big white roofed building behind the Angel Apartments. Is it new and do you know what it is?

the green building with the white roof is new and not yet finished. it is partly private owned and might be rented out soon. will be on the castara list as soon as it opens....
to avoid missunderstandings: it is not ours :D

Great pictures Roland.

How did you persuade the birds to sit so still for you? Rum on the fruit they were eating? Even with fast film and shutter speed I still didn't manage to get pictures half as good as yours!

Thank you very much for your compliments! The birds were already waiting for us in the tree every morning until we opened the balcony door
for breakfast. We fed them with papaya slices and breadcrumbs. When the food on the balcony was empty they tried to capture the kitchen for more... That was great fun and I had a lot of possibilities for taking pictures!

In fact I don't have a big knowledge about photography. I used a tenfold zoom and adjusted the default program for portraits on the camera.
