Coco Reef

Hi Steve
Just arrived home from Tobago(yesterday) via Barbados. What an Island. Everything you advised me and what I read about Tobago didn't do it justice. As advised earlier we have travelled extensively around this world of ours but staying at the Coco Reef Tobago is up amoungst the most memorable and enjoyable holidays we have ever experienced. In fact you did on reflection do it justice perhaps we could not quite believe how beautiful the island is. I will if you wish give a full report but in all honesty your review of the Coco Reef is absolutely on the button. We were pampered from our arrival given room 305 which looks very similar to the photograph in your review, and owing to the 'world cup' - hotels interpretation - the hotel was quite empty and staff to visitors ratio was phenonomal. No booking for restaurant was necessary and it felt as though we were having individual service. We dined on two evenings on what I think is called the band-stand - just below the main restaurant - it was very private and exclusive so it seems. M Eric Ferniet also presented us with bucks fizz on the morning before our departure. Just lovely nice touches. We are definately going back and have made a provisional reservation for 6 people for June/July 2007. Would be happy to give a more detailed report if you so wish. Finally Isla Margarita was not too easy to get to and as we were already chilling out decided on not initiating any hassle into our new found relaxed state. Thanks again for a most informative and enjoyable site - it really did help to make our holiday so memorable
Cheers Neil

Hi Neil

I am SO delighted that the island - and the Coco Reef - exceeded expectations. I guess that whilst we strive for an honest appraisal of everything to do with Tobago, my overall goal would be that readers unfamiliar with the island go there knowing what to expect, with no nasty surprises in store, achieve what they hope and expect, but that the overall experience is better than anticipated, rather than worse. That's what you seem to have achieved, so your post makes me very happy.
