Mall

Post by Anthony Townsend »

Hi,

Can anyone give me an update on the Mall? Five and a half weeks away and the only question Alison (my wife) can ask me is if the mall is finished yet!!!!!!

Thanks

Anthony.

Hi Anthony

The mall is certainly open, but far from finished. There's a couple of decent clothing shops there (a welcome addition) but little else. Had some really gruesome coffee and cakes from a Hagen Daz booth there the other day. As a shopping experience, you can allocate about 15 minutes.

Hi,

Thanks Steve. Unfortunately tht's 15 minutes too long for me.

Hiya,

The mall comprises a shop for medical supplies (things like ECG machines rather than aspirin!), a (good!) bookshop, a kids clothes shop, Westport and Detour clothes shops, a luggage shop, Shoelocker and Francis Fashions (combined), De Rite Stuff (household goods), a hair shop (everything from extensions to shampoo), a jewellers, a Lighting shop, kiosks for (more) jewellery, perfume and mobile phone accessories, a Radio Shack, 3 more clothes shops, and the food court consists of a KFC, Pizza Hut, Haagen Daaz, Rituals Coffee, De River Lime (local food) and a Chinese that looks like it will be open any day now!

There are a couple more that are ready to open, but they hadn't stocked the shelves at my last visit so I can't tell you what they're going to be!

We suffered a spate of electricity cuts recently and the mall was the only place with aircon!! Needless to say, I'm now addicted to Rituals Coffees' Strawberry Sensation Smoothie!!! Mmmmmmmmm.

Lisa.

We saw this being started a couple of years ago - must say it feels very un-Tobago-like but then if the locals want/need/enjoy who am I to complain!

Could you tell me if there is a ATM at Lowlands Mall?
To be able to have access to money at that location would be convenient for me.

Hi Terence,

So far, no, there's no ATM. The nearest one to the mall is probably the one at The Hilton. Other than that, it'd be Scarborough or Penny Savers in Canaan. However, Scotia Bank is supposed to be opening soon....
