We stayed at Gloucester Place and arrived after a stressful journey to the most beautiful welcome and supper. We woke the next morning to the sound of birds and from our balcony looked over the cliffs into the sea, with coconut and banana trees below.

Bea and Win, who own the guesthouse have worked right across the world and are considerate and friendly hosts who made us all feel very welcome. The children loved Bea's cooking - and so did we. Her grilled fish supper was memorable.

Win took us snorkeling in the bay which was fantastic and built up our confidence for future trips and provided extra equipment when we had not brought enough.

In fact, nothing was too much trouble and we fondly remember some great rum punches sitting on the veranda, swinging in the hammock, overlooking the crashing sea and amazing blow hole.

The rooms are very elegant and simple - white walls, tiled floors and fascinating artifacts from around the world dotted all over the place. The beds, with crisp white sheets, are wonderfully comfortable and the windows have mosquito screens so you can get a great night's sleep.

Parlatuvier is a small relaxed village where you can get to see the real Tobago and if you visit, don't miss out on the waterfall (ask Win...).

Thoroughly to be recommended. A home from home.
