Hi Joke

The first of 3 Tropical Waves that I predicted in Liquid Sunshine last Saturday has passed through bringing some rain.

It has dried up a little now but there are 2 more Waves coming this week with the first arriving in the next 18 - 24 hours.

There is alot of moisture in between these 2 Waves so there is the prospect of more general rainfall and shower activity from late Tuesday through to late Wednesday/early Thursday when the 3rd Wave moves through.

There is very little Saharan dust in the atmosphere right now and this would otherwise restrict moisture.

I will do another weekly update this weekend or an earlier update if anything sinister should develop ... keep checking Liquid Sunshine (above this post).

Otherwise enjoy your holiday ... as Steph says you should still get plenty of sunshine :D

David,

I'll drink to that! %*} A nice rain just finished. It cooled down what was starting to be a very hot day. Yesterday was a scorcher too.

I must leave Paradise in only eight more days to go back to work.

As predicted ... there has been a bit of a downpour over the last 24 hours.

The rain should have passed through by the morning and then Tobago can enjoy some sunshine.

Watch out though ... there are 3 more Tropical Waves on the way

Waaah!!! Merlin. If you are referring to Tobago then you will love it. If you don't then you will just have to face up to the fact that the failing is in you and not in the paradise island that takes up such a huge space in the consciousnesses of the rest of us weirdos.

Let us all know how your opinion when you return home.

Enjoy!

Chill!

Hi Merlin

It is Lovers Bay. The beach is very very small and located near Booby Island.

The main attraction is the snorkelling around the Bay and towards Cambleton Beach. It is the finest I have seen around Tobago.

It is risky getting to the beach by boat because the coral is so close to the sea surface all round the beach and you can damage both the coral and the boat ... you can just make it over the Coral by Kayak.

If using boat, generally best to anchor near the sheltered west side of Booby Island and swim through the coral channels to the beach.

If you are a confident swimmer you can snorkel all the way from Charlottesville to Lovers Bay.

Hi there Paul.... sounds good..... the issue is that I would rather be on the beach/island on my own time and not with a kayak group...with limited time.... is there still a way to rent a kayak and go on own time?

Also., is it actually 1 1/2 drive to Charlotsville from Crown Point?

I am sure your wishes can come true ... provided you prove you are skilled with kayaks ... otherwise a small rowing boat or dinghy would do it.

Yes I guess it would be at least an hour from Crown Point ... probably 2 hours.
