Cruise Ships and Our Trip!
Hi everyone
Just in the process of booking our trip to Tobago in January. After reading loads of advice on here we have changed our original plan to stay near Scarborough, to the other side of the island and will now stay in Castara which sounds wonderful, just waiting to hear back from a couple of places about availability. We are going to book the flights independently with Virgin as not keen on the bad things I've read about XL.
Also just wanted to check if/when/where cruise ships come into Tobago? I don't want to end up on a beach that gets packed with people getting off a cruise ship for lunch or something!
Roll on January - will anyone else be around Castara then?
Carole

Hi Carole
You can forget about the influence of cruise ships if you're staying in the Castara area. Only a handful of small cruise liners call at Tobago. The inmates (
) tend to head for Pigeon Point or stroll around Scarborough. Given my experience of the average cruise line passenger, I doubt whether they would want to get sand in their toes anyway.

Last January there were three of us and we rented out Toad Hall for two weeks. Next year there will be only two of us and we are booked into the Sealevel Guesthouse, just behind the Naturalist, for three weeks. Flying out with Virgin on 10 January.

Hi All
Yes David and, if I remember rightly, it's my round.
Carole, unfortunately that particular hat has now self-destructed.
