Hello Paul
I am making this posting as late as possible to avoid being called a heretic by my fellow Castaraphiles for not returning to the island this year, we are going to Kenya tonight and will be staying south of Mombasa for 2 weeks and visiting Tsavo for a 3 day safari (I am fulfilling a promise made to my grandson that we would go when he was 10 years old)
I could have gone on the BBC weather site but your forecasts are always more accurate.
One of my favourite Swahili phrases is also one of the most well known and its Hakuna matata which roughly tranlated is "no worries or no problem" which could also be almost be the national phrase for Tobago.
We will be able to check on the goings on in the Townsend household whilst we are at the hotel but not in our tents on safari so keep up the good work Carol.
So its "kwa herini ili sasa" from me.

Hi everyone
Paul, the weather around Mombasa is fine right now but it looks increasingly unsettled towards the mid-week and up to the weekend.
Still, the most important thing, the temperature will be steady away in the 80's.
Have a good time.
Patrick, Tobago is under alot of moisture this week so outbreaks of rain are likely but, as always, there will be plenty of sunshine in between.
It looks like settling down towards the weekend but you will need to check Liquid Sunshine that I 'hope' to update on Saturday.
But there is nothing sinister happening ... that's the main thing.
Regards

Have a great time Paul W!
Kenya is a place I've always dreamed of visiting, being keen on wildlife ( animals, Bill!)
We are travelling on Saturday too, in a boat on the Kennet and Avon canal. Who needs exotic? We are leaving our nineteen year old son in charge of the house
.Hope he remembers to feed the hamster!
Which reminds me, I've got a bone to pick with you Mr Tallet! Some time ago I asked your opinion of themal underwear, and you haven't answered!
Ignore those people who told you not to say anything, I value your opinion most highly.
Winter draws on.
Cheers Carolnoe

Morning Paul!
I note that your postings sometimes appear in the wee small hours. Are you so dedicated to the weather forecasts that you never go to bed, or are you a vampire?
Sorry about the underwear question. It wasn't in the weather forum; it was in one of my waffles to Gisela, when I mentioned that we would be going on a boat in Britain in October!
Come to think of it, if you always go to Tobago for your hols I don't suppose you have ever needed thermal underwear!
Never mind, I've still got time to dash out and buy a woolly vest! As for Winter draw(er)s on.....
Cheers

Young Bill,
We are renting a barge and doing our own thing, with a friend to act as cap'n as he's done this sort of thing before. We originally intended to go in the "Summer" but the chance to go to Tobago appeared out of the blue so we changed to the half- term school holiday.I believe you don't have this system in the US?
Son was coming with us if we'd not gone to Tobago, but he is now a Working Man and can't get the time off. He's a good lad, and I know our neighbours will keep an eye open, including the eighty year old who offered to climb over the fence for me when I locked myself out, but that's another story!
Daughter wants to "drive" the boat! She is counting the days till she is old enough to learn to drive, and says she wants a pink car for her eighteenth birthday
I'd stay in Illinois if I were you...
I don't have to worry about my shiny new cooker; Son is going to live on take-aways and pub food for a week! As for washing his clothes......
I never stop do I?
Bye

Patrick,
The nerve of you.
We have all worked so hard to hi-jack another thread and you insist on getting it back on track
Hope you have a good time and remember whatever the weather in Tobago is it will still be better than back home. You'll probably be spending all day in a bathing suit so if it rains you'll get wet and when it stops you'll dry out. Just remember to keep your hand over the rum punch so it doesn't get watered down
