Scooter rental in Tobago
Scooter rental in Tobago
Does anyone know if scooters can be hired in Tobago. I mean a step though scooter, not a step through motor cycle or moped. Thanx

Hello GJ
Welcome aboard!
Not as far as I am aware - unless something has changed since we were last there at the start of the year and a new service has started that nobody has mentioned to me.
Sheppy did say he was getting some new and larger 'scooters' in, but I haven't seen them and I suspect that they are just larger step-through mopeds - not the modern supa-dupa scooters we see over here. Pity, because they would be ideal over there.
It might be worth emailing Sheppy and asking though. If you ask him exactly what make/model he offers, you will be able to check on the Internet and see if its what you fancy.

Hi David
You're behind the times, mate! These modern scooters bear no resemblance to the cursed Vespas and Lambrettas and, speaking as a die-hard motorcyclist of many years standing, I have to admit that many of the larger new models are very tasty and totally usable. I could be tempted!

I saw some suzuki ones for saele in trinidad but they seemed just arrived and quite expensive still. guess not much renatls are in the position to invest in them yet...maybe sheppy might...
also I agree to davids "deadly" as soon as you leave the low lands... had some guests with a small motorbike and they almost fell of backwards up a steep road
have fun riding whatever you can get.
