New Years Eve Suggestions please.....

Post by Ash_and_Jess »

Hi all, this is our first post!

We're off to tobago on the 29 December this year for 2 weeks. This will be our first visit to the carribean.

We would welcome any suggestion as to what to happens and where to go for news years eve celebrations, if any?

We are NOT in to the heavy commercial dance/club scene but favour the more laid back, liming, steel drum beat, if such a thing exists?

We'd love to mingle with locals and particularly enjoy a rum or two..... So, if any one can suggest a venue or two then we'd be most appreciative!

Many thanks in advance.

Hi david,
Thanks for your welcome and thanks for your reply.

We are staying in castara, but we've hired a car so we don't mind where we go.

Old years eve.... thats a new to us! Sounds worth celebrating!!!

Many thanks

Ok,well Old Years is usually best in Castara at the Cascreole where they usually have an Iron Band, and lots of food.I usualy go there for a couple of hours then head up the hill to Codries for midnight(as it is on the way back to where I stay).
Do NOT drive anywhere on that day/night.You will have a wondrful time in Castara, the people are very welcoming and friendly.I look forward to meeting you there!

Wishing you all a Happy Old Years Night. What I wouldn't give to be joining you at Cascreole... Aah well, see you ten days later.
