Lost Report?
Hi there.
I had submitted a report on Villa Tosca back on/around 22nd October, but when I checked recently I didn't see it with the other reports that are online.
I was wondering if maybe my report didn't meet the requirements or if I broke some rule or something like that.
Just curious.
Regards
Christopher Barran

Re: Lost Report?
Hi Chris
There are no requirements - other than reports are fair, honest and not libellous or malicious if negative. You certainly didn't break any rules or anything - I would have remembered if you had. No posts are every totally deleted (for legal reasons, as much as anything else) - they are simply transferred to an admin 'holding forum'. I've checked this. There's only half a dozen in there for the whole of this year and certainly nothing from yourself.
Did you make the post within the forum or from the accommodation listings? If from the accommodation listings, are you sure you entered a valid email address? If not, the report would not have been posted and I wouldn't even know about it (part of the anti-spam/fraudulent/malicious post software).
Sorry, but I can only suggest that you re-post your report.

Re: Lost Report?
Hi
Thanks for your prompt reply.
I posted it via the "Add a report" facility on the accommodation listing.
I even got a confirmation e-mail which contains a link to it in the forums.
Here is the link I got in the e-mail:
http://www.mytobago.info/forum/viewtopic.php?p=25484
So seems it did went through. Very strange did you're not seeing it.
No worries, I will repost it.

Re: Lost Report?
Hi Chris
Thanks for reposting that - Malcolm and Annie the owners will be very glad to see that. I'm delighted you had such a great time there.
I must apologise. I did see your report. You said you posted it around the 22nd October. For some reason this tired old brain didn't register the significance of the date. That was the weekend I transferred the forum to the new software and to a new server. I had taken a copy of the forum database as at the end of Saturday 21st and transferred that to the new server. Sadly, I hit a few problems and around 2 days of posts weren't transferred over. The last post transferred was number 24582 - just two before your post. My apologies for that. Fortunately you had the 'receipt' copy that we send out so were able to simply copy and paste it.
I will now go and sit on the naughty chair for 5 minutes.

Never was and, with the passing years, are considerably less so than I would like to be.

Steve,
Do you realise that when you sit on the naughty chair it has to be one minute for every year of your age?

Well, in that case, can I please do it when Spooks is next on TV. That should just about cover it nicely.

Re: Lost Report?
Good morning Steve,
Is there any reason that when I look at the Accommodation Listings today (to look at the latest posting) there is a note at the bottom saying "You do not have authorisation to view postings"?
I'm logged in - and every other part of the forum is working.

Hi Jane
Or should I call you 'eagle-eyes'?
I'd got the 'permissions' setting wrong for that forum. Every other reader/user must have got that too, right since the new forum was launched, but you're the first to mention it. Thanks. All fixed!

Anyway - back to work!

OK, David - we all know you won a prize in the October prize draw. No need to get immersed in the brown stuff.
