Our trip to Tobago was put together at the last minute, about a 2 weeks prior to arriving. We were interested in "Birdies Nest" after reading about it on this site. After a quick series of E-mails to Prince to confirm availability, no deposit requested, we were set.
I will add that Prince was VERY HONEST & UPFRONT about the construction of the sea wall taking place at Birdies Nest. For us it didn't amount too much since we were out and about during the day while the work was being performed. After returning we would check the daily progress. It should be nice when finished!
As for the the accommodations, they were exactly as described on this site. When we travel we prefer to stay at small family owned houses/inns, versus the bigger chain hotels, so we were very happy with Birdies Nest, and all of Tobago as well. We actually extended our stay on Tobago with some help from Prince. We were to spend our last 3 days on Trinidad, but changed our plans to stay on Tobago. Prince did not have space for us, so while we changed our flights he found space for us at the other end of Black Rock at the Turtle View Inn.
All in all, A great vacation on a beautiful island with wonderful people!
