We enjoyed our stay at Castara Retreats. My husband and I visited with our ten year old son who truly enjoyed Tobago. The accomodations were just what we expected from viewing it on the website. The rooms was clean, comfortable, basic but nice. We could have used an alarm clock or radio/cd player. It had a full kitchen for cooking. The room had a beautiful view of the bay and a short walk down the hill brought you to the beach and village. It is a great location and probably one of the nicest places to stay in Castara. (Some of the rooms have open lofts/peaked ceilings where bats tend visit at night. We didn't have this problem with our room but some of the other guests did).
The property was landscaped nicely, well lit paths, birdfeeders were set up and we had a chicken and her chicks visiting us daily. The roosters are alive and well in Castara!
The staff was very accomodating and friendly. They really made you feel at home and were extremely helpful, especially Porridge who runs the place.
We recommend Castara Retreats.
