Dollars or euros

Can I change euros in Tobago or should I take dollars with me? Is the exchange rate better for euros or dollars? Is there any place to change money near The Seahorse Inn, where we will be staying or do we have to go to Scarborough to change money?

Dear Piia

yes, you can change Euros in Trinidad and Tobago at any bank (cash or trav. checks). The present rates are approx 1 Euro = 6.3 TTD, 1 USD =6 TTD cash, you get better rates for trav. checks. There is no bank near The Seahorse, however an ABM machine where you can get local dollars with your credit card. The closest banks from there will be either around the airport or in Scarborough.
