I have just returned from an amazing holiday in Castara, I stayed in one of the lovely en-suite rooms in the upstairs apartment at Villa Carpe Diem and would fully recommend this self-catering apartment to anyone. It is very well equipped, clean, spacious and comfortable and has everything you might need to be able to cater for yourself. The upstairs balcony is huge; it stretches the whole length of the house and has stunning views of the bay, rainforest and village and is the perfect place to enjoy a cold 'Carib' beer whilst watching the beautiful sunsets.
Carpe Diem is only a few minutes walk from the beaches on both 'big bay' and 'little bay' where we enjoyed many hours of snorkelling and fun identifying the colourful fishes. On a Wednesday evening we enjoyed listening to the local drum music at the Boathouse bar on little bay (a bit of limbo practice before you go might put you in with a chance of winning a bottle of rum)!
I had a perfect holiday and would recommend Castara and the Villa Carpe Diem apartments to anyone who wants an amazing, memorable holiday
