I was introduced to the myTobago website by my sister who resides in Trinidad. I was looking for a secluded, beautiful setting to spend our honeymoon for 1 week. After looking at several properties online I found the Beach House. Booking the apartment was easy and dealing with the owners throughout the process was a pleasure. I was nervous about booking a place that I had not seen in person, with people I was communicating with online - there are so many vacation scams. But in the end, when we arrived, it was everything we could have dreamed of.
The views are spectacular from the moment you wake up till the moment you go to bed. The privacy and seclusion of the small beach were exactly what we wanted and provided a sense of intimacy and romance that everyone should experience on their honeymoon. The weather was amazing, every day was picture perfect (except for 1 rainy day).
The house itself was in great condition, clean and inviting. The kitchen had all of the necessities and there was never a shortage of water.
The only complaint I could think of was the shower drainage was a bit slow. When I took a shower I would have to turn off the water at some point to let the water drain out. But considering we are on the beach, one would expect sand to be everywhere - including the drainage system.
Porridge was a great host, attentive and a pleasure to deal with. The owners happened to be on-site that week and meeting them was a great pleasure, such nice people.
I would recommend the Beach House to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation away from it all. We had a memorable and wonderful honeymoon.
