After enjoying ourselves for the last week of Carnival festivities in Trinidad my wife and I decided to spend some time in peaceful Tobago to cool off.

We decided to spend the first three(3) days of our 'Tobago Time' at the Gloucester Place. I am originally from Tobago but have never heard of this place. The Gloucester is located near the Rain Forest so we thought we'd take a chance. Am I ever glad we did.

We were greeted by the owners of the Gloucester who immediately made us feel at home. They were quite accommodating and gracious hosts. The Gloucester is nestled nicely on a hillside surrounded by the rain forest on one side. The other side peered over into the open seas. This place felt like paradise. It was so refreshing walking down to the hillside each morning, sitting on the beach watching and listening to nature.

The Gloucester itself offered a relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are large and the balcony offered a perfect view of the surroundings.
People in the village were friendly and ready to help if you had any questions.

We enjoyed every minute we spent at the Gloucester Place. We still reminisce and can't wait for a return visit.
I recommend the Gloucester Place to anyone who just want to get away and be at peace.
