Kalina Cats

Post by Ulrich »

Hi to all,

does anyone knows if "Kalina Cats" really started this December again with their normal scheduled daytrips?
Tried to contact them by e-mail for booking but didn´t get an answer yet.

Regards
Ulrich

P.S. Only one week for us till starting to Tobago

Hi Ulrich

The last update I had - nine days ago - was that Kalina would be starting after Christmas. Sorry, it looks like you will be out of luck. Check out http://www.myTobago.info/sailing.php for alternative sailing charters.

I'm surprised you haven't heard from Kalina. You may have the wrong address. Try [email protected]. I've written asking for a further update, so will post here if I hear anything.

Hi Steve,

thank you for your answer.
I used the mentioned adress. Maybe I´m too unpatient and they´ll answer later.
But as we´ll be in Tobago till January 11th we´ll have a chance to book the tour there after Christmas.
We stay at "Sherwood Park". You mentioned somewhere that you´ll stay there too in January / February. Will we meet? Would be fine.

Regards
Ulrich

Hi Ulrich

Yes, I'm sure they'll be in touch.

Sadly I arrive on Tobago on 22nd January, so you will left. Yes, we are staying at (and reviewing) the Sherwood Park Apartments, but not until 3rd February. Pity!

Kalina Cats Update

Post by Steve Wooler »

Hi Ulrich

I've just received an update from Steve Willis, owner and Captain of Kalina Cruises. Steve reports:
Kalina will be re-launching itself for the high season with 3 scheduled trips a week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The first Trip will be on Friday January 2nd 2004.

It was closed since September mainly due to the fact I had a car crash, and as result decided to take a year off. The boat is off for a refit on Monday December 8th prior to Christmas. The trip price will be the same US$75.00 per person all inclusive.

The e mail address of [email protected] is still operational or the Captain/Manager can be contacted at [email protected]. Due to the amount of Spam mail, always address the subject title "kalina Cats". The company phone number is the same 639 6306 or alternatively 685 8787.
So, Ulrich, looks like you will be able to enjoy a trip before you leave.

Dear Steve,

thanks a lot for the information.
It´s a pity that there will not be a meeting but I´ll put a
beer for you into your appartment´s refrigerator.

Enjoy your stay.

Ulrick - I shall hold you to that promise. If a beer is not waiting for me on arrival, I shall be most upset.

Have a great trip too.

(I saved some space in my suitcase for a bottle  )

For your information:
Neither [email protected] nor [email protected]

Hope to reach them by phone when I´m there.

Kind regards

Ulrich

P.S. only two days till departure

Hi Ulrich

I know that Steve Willis has been in Trinidad this week with Ocean Spirit having a refit before the re-launch of the service. I guess he's up to his eyes with things and not getting his email being away from the office. I would suggest phoning the numbers mentioned in his reply above when you get over there. As he says, normal service won't resume until the new year.

I'm looking forward to that beer. Make sure the baggage handlers don't go and drop your suitcase.

Have a great trip and let us know how you get on.
