Small question

Post by Paula Peterman »

We are staying at the Rex next year. As I do not drive does anyone know if buses can be caught nearby to other towns like in grenada and barbados.

Are there any places to eat within a 15 minute walking distance.

Thank you.

Hi Paula

Have a look at our Public Transport section on the main site. Forget buses, but local taxis are cheap (relatively) and there's generally one or two stationed at the Rex.

Paula,
we stayed at the Rex in August and had a fab time (I have written a full report). We took one taxi to the Polo bar and as far as I remember it cost about £10 return. There is a Taxi rank at the Rex so you just need to walk out of the door, they will take you somewhere and come back at a requested time.
You can walk to Black Rock in under 15 mins where there are two restaurants, we only ate at Under the Mango Tree which was pleasant but not the best food we had. You can also walk to Plymouth in under 15 mins along the beach where I'm sure there will be some places - although we didn't do this.
