calling UK from Tobago

Can anyone help with a cheap way to call the UK from Tobago ?
My calling card doesn't work when I'm in Tobago.

The calling cards that you can buy in Tobago will only work at certain International public phones, notably as I remember the one by the airport, and also at Charlottville worked. Have you tried at these locations? I found it easier to use my UK mobile last year, as the cost was not too dissimilar.

Welcome aboard!

Our Telecommunications article gives numbers for cheap calls TO Tobago from the UK or USA but I do not know of any such services FROM Tobago.

As Steve has just said, you can buy special TSTT calling cards at any of the supermarkets and many local stores where you will be able to call from public telephone boxes. Alternatively, go to the main TSTT building in Scarborough. This will be much, much cheaper than calling from the hotel.

However, your best bet might be to get your friends/family in the UK to call you on your mobile, using the numbers given in our article.
