hi steve, ive just been reviewing all the notes from previous stayers at the Rex Tobago.

Firstly i have to say that weve, (thats 21 of us and a wedding !) have stayed at the Rex Genadian and (8 of us, thats 6adults 2 kids) have stayed at the Rex Papillion over the last two years. We have been greatly impressed by both hotels which is why were giving the Turtle Beach a bash !

What concerns me just a tad is that there seem to be quite a lot of negative reviews over the Turtle Beach hotel, I know that these reviews are probably sent by people who have gardeners and cleaners but can you just put my mind at rest and tell me thats its as wonderful as the sister hotels !

We have 3 children between us, thats a 7 8 and 7mth old baby, and the older kids love nothing better (as do we !) than to go to the kids club every day, so can you just reassure me that this club is just the same as the other Rex's!

Keep up the good work with the web site.

your fellow Rex followers !

Hi Sam

We have also stayed at the Rex Grenadian. We stayed there last year and this year we stayed at RTB in May. We have three children aged 7, 9 & 11. The Grenadian is bright and light and seems much larger to me than the RTB. In my opinion the RTB seemed much more homely to me. Although the rooms are dark wood and not as modern as the Grenadian the hotel atmosphere is much friendlier and you get far more shade around the pool area than the Grenadian ,with that small pavillion area that all the regulars got under at the crack of dawn !

We didn't use the kids club at the Grenadian but my youngest made a friend at RTB and they went to the kids club once and although they enjoyed it the young woman who ran it was very hit and miss as to when the next club would run. It was definately not a daily event. However we were there out of school holiday time so you may find it is more regular if there are more children staying at the hotel.

I don't have a cleaner but do have a gardener ( I can't stand gardening ! ) but if you want luxury I wouldn't expect the same hotel as the Grenadian, if that makes any sense!

Having said all that we are going back to RTB for three weeks next May.

Regards

Sandra

P.S Just realised your last post was 7th October so you are probably in Tobago already ! Hope all goes well

Thanks for your reply, were off on Thursday so really excited. Its funny, but it does make sense what you wrote about the Grenadian, ive read lots of reviews about Turtle Beach and sort of came to that conclusion. We got married at the Grenadian so I suppose that will always be a special place for us (that was sloppy wasnt it !) but were really looking forward to Turtle Beach..... as long as the kids club is open ! The one thing that does appeal to me is that a lot of families return to RTB so on that basis I think we'll have a great time. I;ll let you know how we get on in a couple of weeks !! 8)
