Aerial tours of Tobago
Please can anyone advise if it is possible to have either a helicopter or small plan aerial tour of Tobago. In my guide book it recommended Hummingbird but I have contacted them and they no longer offer this service.

Hi Kathy
A real shame that Hummingbird's Tobago-based operation haven't been able to get off the ground, so to speak and a real downer for David.
It's the prize I would have chosen, IF I had won, but that's accademic, seeing as I didn't.
The next best thing must be Steve's photo reconnaissance of the lower two thirds of the island - courtesy of Hummingbird, in the spirit of Andrew Harries.

Take only photos - leave only footprints. I like that concept.

Steve, thanks for the great aerial photographs, if you haven’t been to Tobago before it gives you a much better idea of the island, I had thought we could walk from Scarborough to Castara at night! (Walked further from the Toon on a Friday night) however the topography shows this totally impossible, now I know why the taxi takes so long.

Tony,I would never even dream of walking to Castara by day or night.Even at night it is hotter than a typical English summer's day(75F)and the danger can not be overstated--many vehicles have no or poor lights even if they decide to use them and you get a ten ton truck coming round a bend on the wrong side of the road at 40mph......well I leave it to your imagination! You can rent a car forGBP20 a day!!!
